Endeavor or Luck

Once upon a time there lived a king. One day the king asked from his chaplains what is the most required thing for the life, endeavor or luck. This question finally turned into a huge argument. Chaplains divided into two teams and on took the side of the endeavor while other took the side of the luck. However no one knew the answer.

Do you know what did the king do next? He choose two chaplains from tow teams and put them into a room and locked the door. That room had a window which can only insert a plate of food. So he imprisoned the endeavor and the luck in a single room.

King made a special Kavum (Sri Lankan Food) for these two chaplains. Inside one Kavum he insert a Perl. But he inserted the Perl into the upper part of the Kavum. A royal servant put the plate of Kavums from the window. The Endeavor chaplain took the plate hurry. Now he could able to eat all the Kavums, but.. he thought it is not a good thing to eat all without giving it to other chaplain. What he did was, he broke the Kavum and threw the upper part of the Kavum to the Luck chaplain, and ate the bigger part of the Kavum. The Endeavor chaplain stuffed all Kavum. After a while the Luck chaplain began to eat the upper part of the Kavum. In every upper part of the Kavum there was a Perl. He collected every perl and put them to a bag.

Next day the king took the Endeavor chaplain and the Luck chaplain and asked what happened. The
Endeavor chaplain explained that he got a plate of Kavum and he took it first because of his endeavor and he gave the upper part of it to the other chaplain.

The Luck chaplain replied like this "His majestry, It is true that I did not get enough Kavum to eat, but in every Kavum there was a Perl in it. Here they are" and show the bag of Perl to the king.

For a successful life, the endeavor is required as well as the luck, they came to a conclusion.
